FWI Boosters is a volunteer organization made up of family members, staff, and board members. Their Mission is to support the staff and employees of FWI, Inc. through volunteer or financial assistance, to lend a helping hand wherever they can. The group received the 2003 Jackson County Board of Services Outstanding Achievement Award for Volunteer Organization. Boosters host annual potlucks, make minor repairs at the workshop, purchase items needed for operations on the workshop floor and in the office, build assistive devices, help fund holiday events at the workshop, provide some technical assistance for our computers, and are generally there to help when a need arises. They conduct a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. Boosters meet the first Thursday of each month at the workshop from 7:00p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and welcome new members.
